Requirements
• Diploma holder or above, degree in business management is an advantage
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar capacity
• Good knowledge of Corporate, MICE, Catering and Event segments
• Understands, communicates and supports corporate policies and guidelines
• Proficient in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Strong in account acquisition and retention
• Good problem Solving skills with ability to address any issue in collaboration with others, identify and prevent potential problems
• Good understanding of sales process, tools and measurements and systems
• Demonstrates a mature approach to manage the emotions of self and other team members
Responsibilities
• Responsible for Catering and Event Sales for GLP
• Achieve account growth and business production targets as specified
• Clear understanding of GLP’s business strategies and goals, and to determine action plans to meet those goals
• Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls and meetings with key bookers of the target / potential accounts
• Assist Director of Sales to plan and organize wedding fair, bookers’ events, familiarization tours and sales blitz etc
• Carry out sales trips to all source markets as required both domestically and internationally
• Develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
• Prepare required reports of completed sales activities including details of face to face client appointments, presentations, familiarization trips and any other related client interactions
• Build positive working relationships with all departments to ensure the hotel team a full understanding of needs and expectations from clients and organizers
• Deliver smooth transaction of confirmed event / group files to hotel operation team. Maintain close working relationship with hotel operation team to execute confirm events / groups in order to create a seamless experience to clients
• To supply other members of the Sales Department with account or client feedback, market intelligence and business trends
• To perform any assigned duties deemed necessary by the Management Team
