Requirements
• Diploma in business management school
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar capacity
• Strong understanding of the Corporate, MICE, Catering and Event Markets in Hong Kong including but not limited to the key accounts, key contacts, source markets and booking channels
• Strong understanding of how these markets support the hotels business
• Understands, communicates and supports corporate policies and guidelines
• Proficient in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Positive attitude and communication skills
• Good organizational and planning skills
• Good understanding of sales process, tools and measurements and systems
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, creativity, understanding & manages relationships with all stakeholders
Responsibilities
• Senior Sales Manager (station in Hong Kong) is responsible for leading and managing all sales activities and maximize business opportunities in Hong Kong for GLP
• Responsible for ensuring seamless and good coordination between the Sales Department and Front Lines / Back of House Departments
• Aggressively drives Corporate, MICE, Catering and Event sales plan to achieve / exceed budgeted financial targets
• Achieve account growth and business production targets as specified
• Clear understanding of GLP’s business strategies and goals, and to determine action plans to meet those goals
• Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls and meetings with key bookers of the target / potential accounts
• Plan and conduct bookers’ events, familiarization tours and sales blitz etc.
• Carry out sales trips to all source markets as required both domestically and internationally
• Develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
• Monitor competitors’ activities and assist in gathering marketing intelligence
• Record all objectives and planned activities for target / potential accounts in the form of Account Development Plans or equivalent document and ensure that said document is kept up to date at all times
• Prepare required reports of completed sales activities including details of face to face client appointments, presentations, familiarization trips and any other related client interactions
• Supply other members of the Sales Department with account or client feedback, market intelligence and business trends
• Perform any assigned duties deemed necessary by the Management Team
