Position: Assistant Project Manager (Building Services)
Department: Project and Construction Management

Requirements: • Degree / Higher Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent
• Professional qualification as associate or corporate member of HKIE, CIBSE, IEE or IMechE etc. is preferred
• Progressive experience in handling large-scale hotel and resort projects, solid experience in handling Macau resort projects is highly preferred
• Minimum 10 years relevant building services working experience, including 7 years in a leader position on large-scale commercial or institutional projects
• Proven experience in assisting with the management of building services construction projects
• Experienced in proficiently supervised electrical and mechanical teams and contractors, ensure rigorous quality control of site work, maintain high standards, including testing and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems
• Sophisticated understanding of the specific construction regulations and codes in Macau, ensure works compliance with local requirements
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, Windows, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Fluent speaking and writing in English and Cantonese
• Capability of leadership and problem solving
• Resident on site and occasional travel may need
Responsibilities: • Support the Building Services Project Manager in planning, organizing, and executing construction projects
• Assist the Project Manager to manage all kind of A&A projects and building services works for SJM properties
• Supervise Design Consultant’s design deliverable and progress for building service installation
• Monitor and coordinate the Consultants and Contractors
• Monitor and control the construction program to ensure the smooth running, timely completion of the project
• Resolve engineering and site issues to help push smooth project progress
• Ensure the alignment of project goals, review and provide insightful comments on technical submissions, contributing to project excellence.
• Supervise subordinates and contractor’s works quality and safety
• Liaise with Contractors and Suppliers to ensure the coordination of all building services and builders’ work
• Co-ordination of the interaction with the consultant team and including the final handing over of the completed project
• Resolve technical problems and provide advice to project team and contractors
